Photo Continental courses and workshops are all about helping you get the most out of your camera. Whether you know nothing about photography or a keen novice looking to move forward, we have a course for you. All our courses include a complete set of course notes for you to refer to anytime. Our workshops are a very exciting way to learn as they are a hands on experience where you will be using your own camera.
We offer a wide range of courses and workshops starting of with our "Get To Know Your Digital Camera". Aimed at users of digital compact cameras. Our "Fundamentals Of Photography course is aimed at the users of SLR cameras. We also have a course for SLR users dedicated to Night and Low Light photography. Our workshops "Advanced Photo Techniques" & "Studio & Lighting" are aimed at SLR users who are interested in all facets of studio shooting. We also provide one on one training aimed at your specific requirements. How do I book?

Get To Know Your Digital Camera Aimed towards point and shoot digital compact cameras users, this informative course explains the features and benefits of your digital camera. This will include what all the buttons and dials do and when to use them. Most compact cameras have various flash settings, macro close up modes, scene selection and much more. We also provides many great photographic tips and techniques that will give you the skills and confidence to take wonderful photos that you can look back on for years to come.
This course is limited to 19 participants.

Fundamentals Of Photography Aimed towards SLR users and pro-sumer compact cameras. This basic SLR course has proven to be very popular and covers all the necessities of great picture taking from basic camera functions to tips for improving your photography and getting the best from your SLR. We will guide you through shutter speeds, apertures, ISO's and the controls on your camera. We will also touch on depth of field and how to control it along with some great tips and techniques.
This course is limited to 19 participants.

Advanced Photo Techniques Aimed towards SLR owners and pro-sumer compact cameras who have a firm grasp of the fundamentals of photography e.g. shutter speeds and aperture, depth of field and ISO. In this workshop we take you to and from a great photo location where you will transform all your theory in to a practical hands on experience. Lunch is provided as is the processing and printing of the day’s results (max of 40 prints). We also include a $50 PC’s voucher which can be used to get that cable release or extra memory card. Please note that this workshop may involve walking up to 4 kilometres over approximately 3 hours.
This course is limited to 19 participants.

One On One Training There may be times when the knowledge you are searching for does not quite fit into any of our courses. You may be just wanting to focus on sports photography for example and want to get great action shot. That is why we offer one on one training. We can then focus on you and the equipment you are using. This will give you the skill and confidence to improve what you are shooting.

Studio & Lighting Aimed towards SLR owners who want to gain some knowledge and techniques in a studio environment. In this workshop you will be shooting in a fully operational studio. We will be guiding you through various lighting techniques during some portraiture and still life shooting. This will include the use of reflectors, grids snoots and many lighting accessories. This ideal if you are looking at portraiture, product image catalogs or just a general interest in expanding your knowledge of photography.
This course is limited to 5 participants.

Night & Low Light Techniques Aimed towards SLR users who are familiar with the fundamentals of photography. As the light changes you will be introduced to some very simple, yet inspiring techniques on exposing for mood and atmosphere. This class offers lots of great tips on how to take spectacular night photos opening up a world of opportunities where you can achieve amazing results. You will also receive class notes to complement your practical learning experience. Don't for get your camera and tripod plus a cable release if you have one.
